The purpose and mission of the Service Group Ministry is to encourage, edify, inspire and motivate each and every member of the congregation to dedicate their lives to the church and to each other. For each group to function properly, certain responsibilities need to be carried out by dedicated individuals who are ready and willing to serve their fellow group members in various capacities.

FOSTERING CARE AND SERVICE FOR EVERY MEMBER
Individual Service Groups are made up of members in close geographical proximity. Each group is responsible for delivering services related to the five areas:

Encouragement & Mentoring - Meet new members at Orientation. Write Encouragement Cards. Follow-up on new members to ensure their involvement in worship and church activities.

Visitation - Visit the sick and shut-in. Serve communion during Sunday visits. Coordinate meal delivery with Service Coordinators as needed.

Funerals - Contact the bereaved to help make arrangements. Arrange for members’ participation with setting up, serving and cleaning up following the meal service, if at GACC.

Meals - Prepare, deliver meals when needed. Coordinate meals with Service Coordinator when needed.

Infant Care Packages - Collect items for new infant care packages. Deliver infant care packages. Coordinate meals and/or visitation to new infant family with Service Coordinator, when needed.
